For already a decade, Singapore ladies prefer the straight long rebonded hair popularise by TCS actress, Fann Wong. It seem Fann Wong NEVER get tired of it. Well, her smooth & polish face does suit that long straight-down hair which is distinctively her trademark now. But actually, I think with her age advancing each year, Fann will also look much younger and even more glamourous if she go for the BOB.

In her latest sitcom, A Million Treasures which just finished its run, actress Zoe Tay wears the BOB style. And it must only be the professional work of one man - celebrity stylist, David Gan. Last year, David Gan was awarded the prestigious Toni&Guy world award in Los Angeles. See that? Even the mighty international Toni&Guy hair empire recognise the professionalism of David Gan. He has made Singapore proud.

Zoe's BOB hair is in all its shining pure black glory just like the Classic Bob. With the short BOB hair, Zoe was transformed from the middle-aged mother to young executive.

Victoria Beckham spices up her BOB colourfully, away from the Classic Bob. She had it sharpy with wedge, trendy ends. A bold attempt indeed. Though away from the Classic BOB, it is still very british for Victoria as she is. And certainly Victoria Beckham's BOB hair is very classy out of the classic.

The Classic BOB dated back to post-World War 1 in 1918 and of course, in black without colours. In 1960s, the Classic BOB is resurrected by Jackie Kennedy - the 1st Lady of JKF. She became the unintentional fashion icon. The BOB she put on is real short but look bulky because the mass volume of hair were shaped like a short London bobby cap, resting on top of the head.

The past generation of Singapore girls used to avoid the short BOB. Probably out of the fear of mistaken as tomboy. Moreover, the long hair trend by Fann Wong still lingers on.

Some readers of my previous post "Are you ready to take the plunge for short hair?" did email me with some comments on the popularly-known Toni&Guy short BOB hair styles. These comments dismissed the BOB and other punky short styles as too short, too boyish...too BOB-like....for the Singapore girl.

Like it or not, the BOB is here again.... How long will it last this round? Your guess is better than mine.
